History
1947
SencorpWhite was founded in 1947 under the name Packaging Industries Inc. in Montclair, NJ and primarily supplied bag sealers for government and military applications. The company moved to Hyannis, MA in 1964 and the customer base expanded to include commercial packaging applications and laboratory heat seal testing.
1963
Packaging Industries relocates to Hyannis, MA and expands to include commercial packaging applications and laboratory heat sealing under the Sentinel Machinery Division of Packaging Industries Group Inc.
1970’s
Sentinel Machinery begins developing innovations focused on medical pouch and tray sealing.
1989
Sentinel Machinery Division is sold and becomes Sencorp Systems.
1990’s
Emphasis on medical device packaging grows and new product development results in the creation of the first AS/2 and MD medical heat sealing models.
2002
The CeraTek brand is formed to focus on solving the evolving challenges associated with sterile packaging. The first PLC-controlled P-Series sealer is designed.
2008
SencorpWhite is formed through the merger of Sencorp and White Systems.
Today
The CeraTek product line remains the leading provider of pouch and tray sealing solutions to all major medical device manufacturers worldwide.
